Q: Why is there a limit of 10 garment items per visit?
A: The 10-item limit applies only to select new garment products, including:
- Dry Stretch
- Women's Stretch Cotton
- Men's Open Sleeve Stretch Cotton
There are currently no purchase limits on other garment items.
These limits help ensure fairness and allow more customers access to these products while demand remains unprecedented. Production teams are working to increase supply as quickly as possible and appreciate customers' patience as inventory catches up with demand. Our goal is to provide the best possible service while making these new garment options available to as many customers as possible.
Q: Can I use a Deseret Book gift card to purchase garments or other sacred clothing?
A: Deseret Book gift cards can be used to purchase garments and sacred clothing at Deseret Book retail locations only. Church Distribution Services — whether at Church-operated physical locations or the online store (store.churchofjesuschrist.org) — does not accept Deseret Book gift cards.
Q: Can I order garments online from Deseret Book?
A: Garments and sacred clothing can be purchased online only through the Church-operated online store at store.churchofjesuschrist.org. The Deseret Book website does not sell garments or other ceremonial clothing.
Q: Are any discounts available for garments or other temple clothing?
A: A one-time 50% discount is available on temple clothing only — garments are not eligible for this discount. The following individuals qualify:
- Members receiving their endowment for the first time
- Newly called temple workers (first-time issuance)
This discount applies only to temple clothing produced and distributed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Please note the following exclusions:
- Garments — not eligible for any discount
- Temple-related clothing sold on the Deseret Book website (such as dresses, pants, and shoes) — these items are not produced by Church Distribution Services and are also not eligible
