TOFW 20th Anniversary 2021 Fall Events Rescheduled Announcement

Dear Friends,

When the Time Out for Women team chose “Take Courage My Heart” as the theme for the 2020 tour, we could not have imagined how needed that message would be. With you, we have clung to that theme and the messages from the year ever since the cancellation of the 2020 tour last March.

We have missed you and have been looking forward to the blessing of gathering with you again.

Last year when we canceled, we had no other option. The world as we all knew it was shutting down. Though there was deep disappointment, everyone understood. We were experiencing the hard times together and adjusting our lives—together.

Things are different now. Views and personal experiences have created a wide array of feelings and a difference in choices in how to react to the current challenges. Some have little concern about COVID, some are being more cautious, and others—including in our TOFW family—have loved ones dealing with serious illness. Some will expect that a mask requirement and other precautions be implemented at the events. Other attendees will be bothered to have such practices imposed. We’ve all seen or experienced heated discussions about such matters among family and friends.

It is under these circumstances, after a great deal of prayerful deliberation and after seeking input from respected leaders, that we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Fall 2021 dates of our upcoming TOFW 20th Anniversary Tour.

We know there will be some who will be frustrated by this decision. But we feel a deep sense of responsibility to look beyond any financial impact or potential criticism and to do what we sincerely believe is in the best interest of everyone—you as attendees, our presenters, our team, and our host cities who are experiencing a wide range of cases and hospitalizations. We cannot escape our belief that rescheduling these large, indoor, day-long events is the right thing to do.

We will begin rescheduling Fall dates and will notify purchasers of the rescheduled dates no later than November 30, 2021. Your registration will still be valid for the rescheduled dates. We understand that you may not wish to wait for the rescheduled date, so according to Time Out for Women’s “Purchase with Confidence” policy, you have the option to request a refund now.* Once the new date is announced, you will again have the chance to request a refund if the new date does not work for you.

I sincerely hope you can appreciate the difficulty of this decision and our collective love for your well-being and the safety and health of those you love. We look forward to the joy of gathering with you again soon as we celebrate 20 years of Time Out for Women.

Laurel C. Day

President, Deseret Book Company

*Please note: If you do not request a refund by August 31, 2021, your registration(s) will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Refund requests need to be completed by the original purchaser.
