Separate Apple and Android 5 Step App Re-Install Instructions

To fix most problems make sure you are in a place with consistent, high speed wifi/internet and delete the Deseret Bookshelf app, power off completely for 30 seconds and reinstall it:
               
Apple Devices

1. Make sure your device has iOS 10.0 or higher. Delete the Deseret Bookshelf app from your iPad, go to your main app screen, hold your finger on the DB Bookshelf app icon until it wiggles, tap the “x” in the upper left corner of the DB Bookshelf icon and tap “Delete” in the popup.
               
2. Power off your iPad completely for 30 seconds by holding the on/off/sleep button for 5 to 10 seconds until the Power Off screen pops up and slide the “slide to power off” switch.
 
3. Power back on the iPad after 30 seconds and wait for it to load all the way.
               
4. Go to the Apple App Store on your device and Install/Update the Deseret Bookshelf app: Find the Deseret Bookshelf app and tap the Cloud icon with the down arrow. A circle with a square in the middle appears, the outline of the circle gets thicker in a clockwise direction as the app downloads and installs. Tap the “Update” button if one appears otherwise tap the “Open” button, tap or swipe through the Deseret Bookshelf app introductory messages and/or tap the “x” to close the little window.
               
5. Login to your Deseret Bookshelf with the email login ******* and your Deseret Book password.
 
It may take up to five minutes for all of your eBooks and mp3 audiobooks to show up in your list.
 
If your device has enough free memory space and consistent, high speed wifi/internet for the initial download then your eBooks and mp3 audiobooks should download and work smoothly.

Android Devices
 
If your device has Android 5.0 or higher then to fix most problems make sure you are in a place with consistent, high speed wifi/internet and do the following including a 30 second complete shutdown after the uninstall:
                                                                    
1. Go to the Google Play Store on your device and search for "Deseret Bookshelf". Tap Deseret Bookshelf Deseret Book.
 
2. Tap the "Uninstall" button, when the "Install" button appears, hold the on/off button on your tablet until the "Device options" window pops up and tap "Power off" then tap "OK" to power off completely. Wait 30 seconds and then turn your tablet back on and wait for it to come on all the way.
 
3. Go to the Google Play Store on your device and search for "Deseret Bookshelf" again. Tap Deseret Bookshelf Deseret Book, tap the "Install" button when it appears, tap the "Open" button when it appears.
 
4. Login to your Deseret Bookshelf app with your email login ******** and Deseret Book password.
 
It may take up to five minutes for all of your eBooks and mp3 audiobooks to show up in your list.
 
If your device has enough free memory space and consistent, high speed wifi/internet for the initial download then your mp3 audiobooks should download and work smoothly.
